A coffee syphon with an outstanding presentation
While enjoying a rich aroma, you can also visually enjoy the coffee moving up and down through the glass bowl. If the extraction times are the same, there is little difference in flavour, making this apparatus a favourite amongst professionals.
How does it work?
Pressure is created when the top chamber is heated. Pressure pushes the hot water into the top, which is at an ideal temperature for brewing. Coffee is then fully immersed in the top chamber, and when heat is removed, a vacuum is created below, which quickly filters the coffee through a cloth. The vacuum pressure and cloth filtration allows for the use of a finer grind, while still getting the benefit of full immersion.
